Since we were small, we had been taught proper health care. But sometimes we forget to take care of our own health and so here are some reminders.
People need to be healthy in order to work well. Children can study well and learn their lessons faster if they are healthy. There is a popular saying, "health is wealth." A healthy person is generally happy, and of course if a person is happy, he is friendly. He also thinks well, talks well and behaves well.

Eat nutritious food that will make you go, grow and glow, like milk, vegetables and fruits. Good food, aside from giving you energy and building you, gives you a clear skin, strong teeth and bones, strengthen you against diseases, and makes you bright and beautiful. Drink also plenty of water.
Dress neatly and appropriately. This means not only that you must wear clean clothes, you should also wear, for example, light pastel during hot days, and thicker clothes during the cold season. Take care of your personal belongings like your comb, handkerchiefs, toothbrush, shoes. Avoid germs that will make you sick.
Get enough sleep and relaxation. Sleep at least 8 hours a day. Have enough exercise outdoors where you can get sunshine. Your body is like a machine which gets rusty and weak if not used. Take care of your hair, nails, teeth, eyes, nose and ears. Unlike machine parts, body parts are irreplaceable once injured.
Develop a good posture when sitting, walking and standing. Not only is a good endurance in a body activity involving good balance and use of muscles. Extra muscle effort is needed to keep the body balanced when the posture is bad, because then much of the body weight is off center. So, stand tall, sit tall, walk tall.
Never start bad habits like smoking. Smoking is very dangerous to health. Do you know why cigarettes have been referred to as "coffin nails?" Each cigarette that a person smokes helps him get closer to his death and "nails" him to his coffin. It also makes your breath, hair, skin, clothes and the air around you smell bad.
Keep your home and surroundings clean. Make sure your rooms are well ventilated, have no breeding place for harmful insects, and are safe from accidents.
Be cheerful and nice to others. Avoid quarreling. Have a regular check-up.
