Whether we are surfing the Net at home, at school or at an Internet Cafe, be sure to remember the following rules:
- Avoid sites that ask for personal information. Never give out your real last name, address, phone number or password. If you want to surf a site that asks for all these information, ask your parents first.
- Beware of people you have never met. Just because
you've exchanged e-mails with someone or talked with them in a chat room does not mean that you know this person.
- Don't meet someone you have met online without first getting permission from your parents. If your parents give you permission, you should go with an adult and meet in public place.
- Don't send people pictures of yourself unless you have permission from your parents.
