A soulmate is said to be a person’s partner in life but he/she is not conscious about it. For example, a person meets somebody he/she has never met before, and they happen to speak to one another, and both of them get acquainted soon, and go along well, and one may remark, he/she is his/her soulmate for it seems that they have known each other fully for a long time. The idea of soulmate stems from the concept of reincarnation, that is, if one dies, his/her soul survives and lives with another being in some future time.
It is a belief that a soulmate is a true companion: one who can guide when one is lost, can help when one is burdened, can comfort when one is sad and can share his/her experiences.
On my part, I have still to find one.
